Donte Stallworth Hit a Pedestrian With His Bentley

Donte Stallworth [Cleveland Browns player] hit and killed Mario Reyes [59] a pedestrian with his Bentley on Saturday morning around 7 am on a busy causeway between Miami and Miami Beach. Reyes was taken to a nearby trauma center, where was pronounced dead about an hour later.

Mario Reyes was a crane operator for a shipping company. He had just come off the overnight shift and was crossing the street to catch a bus home. Reyes was taken to a trauma center and pronounced dead there about an hour later. It’s not clear if he was crossing legally.

Police says Donte Stallworth was collaborating with the investigators and is not charged. Officers drew blood to test for drugs or alcohol, which is standard procedure in this type of accident investigation. The results from the test could take anywhere from three days to three weeks. Woods Puts Family Before Golf

Tiger Woods says he is close to his anticipated return to competitive golf, but first put their family decides its schedule for the rest of the season.

The world number one has not played since winning his 14th major title at last June in the U.S. Open the four rounds of the game in agony with a ruptured ligament in his left knee and a double stress fracture of the lower leg.

The world’s richest athlete had reconstructive knee surgery following his playoff victory over Rocco Mediate at Torrey Pines and gave himself for the remainder of the 2008 season.

Woods had been rumored to be making his return to the PGA Tour in the near future, but he told his personal website that was not at all sure it will throw itself into a full-time program.

Edwin Van Der Sar Set a New Record

Manchester United moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League and goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar set a new record of not giving English-minute goal in a 1-0 victory over Everton.

Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed the victory with a penalty 44th minutes, but United are once again solid defense and keeper made sure of the three vital points.

Everton lack of scoring at Old Trafford 73 minutes left van der Sar unbeaten in 1104 minutes.

The Dutch international was breaking the previous record set by the reading of Steve’s death 30 years ago.

Petr Cech has taken the Premier League record in winning 5-0 at West Bromwich Albion last week and has had 12 straight clean sheets.

2008 FIFA Club World Cup

The 2008 FIFA Club World Cup was a football tournament that was played in Japan from 11 December – 21 December 2008. It was the fifth edition of the FIFA Club World Cup. Manchester United won the competition, defeating LDU Quito 1–0 in the final.

The fifth-place match, dropped for the 2007 edition, was reintroduced for this edition, with the total prize money being increased by US$500,000 to US$16.5 million. The winners will take away US$5 million, the losing finalists US$4 million, the third-placed team US$2.5 million, the fourth-placed team US$2 million, the fifth-placed team US$1.5 million, the sixth-placed team US$1 million and the seventh-placed team US$500,000.
